A collection built with family in mind
Byron had accumulated sealed LEGO sets with the idea of enjoying them with his grandchildren. Over time, the collection took up more space, and he decided to sell the majority while keeping some sets for family time.
The collection included retired sets from themes such as Lord of the Rings, NINJAGO and Star Wars. Highlights discussed in the video include Tower of Orthanc, Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters, Joker Manor and Welcome to Apocalypseburg.

From an initial list to an inspected purchase
Byron brought the collection to Wapi from Rhode Island. We checked seals, box condition and inventory, then reconciled the delivered items against the earlier lists. Some sets had been kept, and others were added as he finished packing.
After that review, we agreed on a $73,000 purchase. The in-person check made it possible to settle the actual collection in front of us rather than assume the original list had stayed unchanged.
One buyer instead of hundreds of transactions
In the video, Byron explains that the time, messages, shipping issues and individual negotiations were reasons to sell the collection together. His choice was about the overall experience as well as the price.
A direct collection sale and selling items one by one involve different tradeoffs. If you would rather discuss one purchase with an experienced LEGO buyer, contact us with what you know about your collection. We will explain the next steps without requiring you to begin with a detailed spreadsheet.
