A major collection, with the seller’s privacy respected
We paid $110,000 for this California LEGO collection. The seller wanted to stay anonymous, so we blurred their face in the published video and are keeping their name out of this story. The collection itself gives us plenty to share.
Our photo post documented over 2,000 sealed sets, including many described as recently retired. Boxes were stacked floor to ceiling and several layers deep, with more sets tucked into closets. What first looked like a smaller space turned into a substantial packing job.

From 8 a.m. to after 11 p.m.
We arrived at 8 a.m. and did not leave until after 11 p.m. As we brought sets out of the room and closets, the scale of the collection became clear. We saved packing the collector grails until the end for an extra boost of motivation.
After loading, the trip back to West Bend, Wisconsin, meant a 32-hour truck ride. Our original photo post shares the journey, and the video shows the collection and the work involved in bringing it home.
Selling a large LEGO collection from across the country
This purchase shows how far we have traveled for a collection. If you have a large collection to sell, tell us where it is located and what you have. Photos or an existing inventory can help us discuss the collection and suitable transport arrangements.
If privacy matters to you, tell us when you get in touch so we can discuss your preferences before documenting a purchase. This seller’s collection could be shared while their face stayed blurred and their identity stayed out of this story.
