From watching YouTube to visiting the store
Jim discovered Wapi Bricks on YouTube and visited our West Bend store to talk with Zach about potentially selling his collection. About six months later, he had prepared the list he wanted to sell and sent it to us.
His collection included sealed retired sets from Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Super Heroes and other themes. He was pleased with the offer and decided to bring the collection to Wapi from Minnesota.
Evaluating the collection and checking the delivery
For this purchase, we reviewed recent sales of the sealed sets on eBay and BrickLink. When Jim delivered the collection, we checked it against his list before paying him $56,100.
Recent completed sales, condition and demand help inform an evaluation. A published purchase story is an example of a completed deal, not a fixed price schedule for another seller’s sets.
