Carl’s $18,500 sealed LEGO collection from Florida

After agreeing on a deal, Carl drove through the night from Tampa Bay. His $18,500 collection included sealed sets that were still available at retail.

An agreed deal before the drive

Carl and Wapi came to an agreement in early September. He then drove through the night from Tampa Bay, Florida, to bring the collection to our West Bend store.

We paid Carl $18,500 for the collection. The original photo post records the arrival and the completed purchase.

A collection does not have to be entirely retired

Carl brought sealed LEGO sets, and our original account specifically noted that many were not yet retired. His collection is a useful example of the range of LEGO that comes through our buying process.

If you have a mixture of current and retired sets, describe what you have when you contact us. You do not need to decide whether every set qualifies as a collector grail before starting the conversation.
